Monday Morning Dispatch - Volume #197

Start your Monday off right:

  1. The Born Free Foundation selected the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards and there are some great images in the collection.

  2. I was memorized by these GIFs on how cookie cutters are produced. I highly recommend checking out their instagram.

  3. Young-Deok Seo creates these stunningly expressive sculptures out of bicycle chains. Its shocking how much emotion you feel from a simple metal object.

  4. These bamboo insects from Noriyuki Saitoh are so life like. You could totally picture them taking flight.

  5. Oded Wagenstein traveled to Northern Siberia to photograph reindeer herders. The resulting images look like a life completely different to anything you have seen.

  6. “We live in an age when you say casually to somebody ‘What’s the story on that?’ and they can run to the computer and tell you within five seconds. That’s fine, but sometimes I’d just as soon continue wondering. We have a deficit of wonder right now.”
    – Tom Waits
  7. Bill Cunningham was an institution at the NY Times as a street fashion photographer. NPR talk about his work and life.

  8. If you are looking for another photography podcast, I highly recommend the “Magic Hour”.
