Monday Morning Dispatch - Volume #26

Start your Monday off right:

  1. In a small Italian village, a couple converted an old theater into a gorgeous house
  2. Love the depth and character created by the line work of these geometric portraits from Allison Kunath . She also has a fascinating video of her creating one of unique pieces.
  3. I am not a baker. I am the guy who throws ingredients together and the resulting dish ends up tasting fairly good. However, these Cruffins (croissant + muffins) look so good that I might have to give it a try.
  4. "Be brave enough to live creatively. The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. You cannot get there by bus, only by hard work, risking and by not quite knowing what you are doing. What you will discover will be wonderful: Yourself."
    Alan Alda
  5. Stumbled upon my new favorite web comic, Dear Inner Demon. Video game and movie characters express their deeps fears.

  6. When I think about technology, pens and brushes don't jump to the forefront of my mind but that's precisely what they are. My love and use of film has resulted in certain people on the internet to calling me a luddite. Yet on a generation ago, film was the highest point in photographic technology. This thought was sparked by Liberatum's video on artist and technology.

  7. "What I'd tell myself about startups if I could go back 5 years" generally applies to every entrepreneur and artist

  8. "Creativity is not a symptom, it’s a system" breaks down how creativity isn't an inherent trait but rather a by-product of a way of operating. The implications are fascinating as your level of creativity is no longer fixed. As you improve and refine your creative process, the resulting creative output also increases.
