Ideas have an annoying habit of latching on and not letting go regardless of their seemingly impossible nature. This new project is no different. I am building a pinhole camera out of a 5x5 hydroponic tent in order to shot 20x24 sheets of light sensitive paper. As much as the prospect of creating on that scale excites me, I also realize how much failure, frustration, and experimentation will be required in order to create a single image. Those doubts resulted in the box remaining unopened for more than 10 days. I felt safer ignoring this journey. The project remained shiny and new when it only existed as an idea. Reality is messy. The idea requires blood, sweet, and maybe a few tears.
Well, I finally assembled the tent. Now begins the challenge of blocking out all the tiny light leaks.
