"For all of the most important things, the timing always sucks. Waiting for a good time to quit your job? The stars will never align and the traffic lights of life will never all be green at the same time. The universe doesn’t conspire against you, but it doesn’t go out of its way to line up the pins either. Conditions are never perfect. “Someday” is a disease that will take your dreams to the grave with you. Pro and con lists are just as bad. If it’s important to you and you want to do it “eventually,” just do it and correct course along the way." Tim Ferris
For those who are unaware, I turned in my notice of resignation making September 30th my last day at Pershing. I will be selling my art full time and bartending to cover the monthly bills. My co-worker's reaction has been mixed to put it mildly. On one side, my actions are viewed as brave and the embodiment of the "follow your passion" motto plastered across the internet. The other side saw it as naive, stupid, and foolhardy. The truth is my action is probably a weird cocktail of both opinions. Only time will settle who is right. Until then, I will try to enjoy this rollercoaster known as life.
